Climate Week Como: Promoting Sustainable Culture for All Ages
As part of Climate Week Como, AsLiCo brought opera and sustainability together, engaging children and families with environmental themes through music, storytelling and participatory cultural experiences.

At the heart of the initiative was Piccolo Orso e la Montagna di Ghiaccio, an opera-family experience designed to introduce younger audiences to environmental themes in an accessible and imaginative way. Through the performing arts, the project encouraged audiences of different generations to reflect on nature, climate and our relationship with the environment.
Through this roadshow, AsLiCo highlighted the role cultural organisations can play in making sustainability part of the conversation with younger generations and their families, while creating an engaging first encounter with opera.
